True Christians seek to honor God in all aspects of their lives, and that includes their career. Finding a fulfilling career that honors God can seem challenging, but fortunately, there are a number of great careers for Christians. Below are three of the best career choices for Christians:

This might seem like a given, but it is important to remember that all Christians are not suited to be ministers. Ministers are required to spend several hours out of their week working with people, so they should have strong interpersonal skills. They should also be able to work with people from different walks of life.

There is no formal training required to be a minister. However, earning a degree in theology or Biblical studies can be quite helpful. According to Payscale.com, the average salary for a minister ranges from $35,000 to $47,000 per year.

It is also important to note that ministers are not limited to working in a church. In fact, there are some ministers who work in the hospital or serve in the military.

Teaching is another excellent career option for Christians. Teachers are not only responsible for educating students, but they also have the opportunity to change students’ lives forever. Christian teachers can work at a private school or public school. They can also work at colleges. Many teachers only work nine months out of the year, which is one of the many advantages that comes along with being a teacher.

Teachers who are interested in teaching in primary or secondary school will need to have a bachelor’s degree. People who are interested in teaching at the collegiate level will need to possess a master’s degree. Additionally, there are some positions that require college professors to have a PHD.

The average salary for a primary or secondary teacher ranges $47,100 to $53,000. College professors typically make between $70,000 and $100,000 per year.

A counselor is someone who is trained to listen to other people’s problems. Counselors can also offer suggestions on how to handle life’s problems. People who are interested in using Biblical teachings to help people overcome their problems should consider a career in Christian counseling. Christian counselors should have excellent listening and communication skills.

A bachelor’s degree is the minimum education that is required to become a counselor. However, it is important to note that most positions today require that counselors possess a master’s degree.

Christian counselors can hold jobs in churches, schools, clinics or hospitals. The average salary for a Christian counselor ranges from $38,000 to $62,000 per year. There are some counselors that choose to further their education and become psychologists. The average salary for a Christian psychologist ranges from $41,000 to $71,000 per year.

Ministry, counseling and teaching are just a few of the many great career options for Christians. These careers give Christians the opportunity to lead others to Christ. Teaching, ministry and counseling also allow Christians to grow in their own faith.
