I am sure you have had that ‘I’m going to create a successful business’ thought at some point in your life but did not know where to start. Starting your own business is not an easy task, otherwise everyone would be creating successful businesses every day. Creating your own business takes a lot of time and effort and only the most dedicated will get somewhere with it. Here are seven of the most successful businesses in the world.

Apple
Apple was founded by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne in 1976 and is probably most famous for the ipod and iphone. The most recently released Apple Product was the iPhone 5. There are now Apple stores all over the world with thousands of employees. The headquarters for Apple is located in California.

Google
Google was founded in 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, in California, where the headquarters is located. Both founders were students at Stanford university. There are google offices in many of the biggest cities in the world, including London, Los Angeles and Buenos Aires. Google currently has over 30,000 employees working all over the world.

Microsoft
This company began in the United States when Bill Gates and Paul Allen founded Microsoft in 1975. The headquarters is located in Albequerque, New Mexico. The fantastic creation of microsoft has allowed Bill Gates to become the second richest man in the world! Microsoft have a few locations within the United Kingdom, including Edinburgh and London.

Sony
Sony was founded in Tokyo, which is where the headquarters is still located, by Masaru Ibuka and Akio Morita in 1946. Their company first began with only 20 employees and is now around 170,000! Sony are probably most popular for their televisions and laptops. The Sony Vaio is a popular laptop brand.

BMW
BMW is a german car manufacturing company that was founded in 1917 in Munich, which is where its headquarters is currently located. It was founded by Franz Josef Popp. BMW stands for Bayerische Motoren Werke. As well as cars, they also produce motorcycles; in 2012, over 1 million cars were manufactured and over 100,000 motorcycles were manufactured.

Mercedes-Benz
This is another German car manufacturing company. However, this was founded earlier than BMW. Mercedes was founded in 1886 by Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler in Stuttgart, Germany. The headquarters for Mercedes-benz is located in Stuttgart. Mercedes produce cars, buses, vans and a variety of other automobiles.

Facebook
If facebook were a country, then it would be the third largest in the world! That is an impressive amount of members. It was founded by Mark Zuckerberg, a Harvard University student, in 2004. Facebook has recently hit the 1 billion member mark. The facebook headquarters is located in California.

None of these founders gave up when creating their businesses and I am sure every single one of these people ran into problems during and after the creation. The point here is that even though some things are very difficult, it does not mean you should give up. If we all gave up on everything, then nothing would ever happen.
