Wheatgrass — Another Natural Resource for Smooth, Clear Skin

Earlier this week, I wrote about obtaining clear, smooth skin by drinking Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar. Today, I want to share another great natural resource for obtaining clear, smooth skin. This resource is wheatgrass. If you are a health advocate, you have heard of wheatgrass. Athletes drink it for stamina and they sell it in juice bars to individuals looking for a health booster. Wheatgrass does have many health benefits.

My Wheatgrass Story for Clear, Smooth Skin

As far as clear, smooth skin goes, I can vouch for wheatgrass. For the past few years I have had a problem with my hands and feet looking very ragged, especially in the winter. The skin cracked and bled and doing simple chores such as washing dishes was very painful. Once I began to drink wheatgrass juice (2 oz. daily) on a regular basis, the problem was resolved. I am still amazed at the difference in my hands and my heels are not so rough-looking. The skin is now supple and very soft to the touch. I never had a problem with my face, but I have recently noticed that it has been benefited as well. I have even received several comments lately about my skin tone.

What is Wheatgrass?

I know a lot about wheatgrass because I did a ton of research when I wrote the book The Complete Guide to Growing and Using Wheatgrass: Everything You Need to Know Explained Simply — Including Easy-to-Make Recipes (Atlantic Publishing Company) a couple of years back. Some may think there is a lot of hype surrounding wheatgrass but, from experience, I know wheatgrass can be used to address a lot of health issues.

Wheatgrass is the young, green shoots of the wheatgrass plant. It was discovered as a health aid in the early 1900s by Charles Schnabel who noticed that his ailing chickens got well when they at the grass. Wheatgrass juicing became popular during this same time period when Ann Wigmore used it to correct her own health ailments. She knew she was onto something when her body totally rejuvenated. She went on to establish the prestigious Hippocrates Health Institute which is now in full operation in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Drinking wheatgrass for clear, smooth skin may be a little more expensive than drinking Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar. You can easily spend between $1.50 to $3.00 for 1 ounce of wheatgrass juice at your local juice bar. Nonetheless, you can’t really put a price on good health, can you?
