Hold for three seconds and move back to the starting position. Rotate your head toward the right side and do the same thing. Repeat at least five times until your neck begins to feel more flexible.

Leg raises are an easy way to ease a herniated disc. Begin by lying on the floor and gently lift one leg off the floor. Hold it up and count to ten and gradually release it down toward the ground. Switch legs and perform the same exercise on the other leg.

The back leg swing is another excellent exercise to aid the lower back. Stand behind a chair and raise one leg at a time while swinging it gently outward. Hold it straight and count to ten. Bring it right where you started and begin on the other leg. Complete a minimum of five repetitions of both exercises to retain strength and flexibility in your back.
