Detox Tips for 2013

spring-cleaning2013 is almost here and that means it’s time to clean out your clutter, starting with the way you live.

Detoxing your home is a great thing to do. Especially at the first part of the year. You don’t need to wait until spring cleaning to do the cleaning of your home.

Here are tips to help you have a happier, healthier home. With a few minor adjustments you can have a safe environment for you and your family.

Clean out cupboards

Your cupboards can build up with dirt over time. With crumbs, honey sticky rings, hot sauce drips, coffee grinds and any other food particles that may stay and hide in the corners of the cupboards.

Take time to move everything out of the cupboards and use a wet sponge with some cleaning solution to clean out inside. This can prevent mold and prevent bacteria build up and help you have a healthier kitchen.

Clean out the fridge

The refrigerator is the place where all of your food is stored, however many people do not clean the refrigerator often enough. Food particles and mold with bacteria and other agents can build up and prevent you from having the healthiest dishes possible. At the beginning of the new year use this time to take all of the things out of your refrigerator and clean it out.

Clean out your closet

Removing items from your closet that you haven’t worn in a long time is a really good way to address the new year. By removing things that you no longer wear and getting rid of items and donating them to someone else can help you feel

better and clear out space, you will feel good in your body.

Replace your toothbrush

It has probably been a while since you have replaced your toothbrush and maybe your teeth are hurting. It is not uncommon for a toothache to occur after the holidays. It is connected to lack of oral healthcare or maybe a bigger health problem, if that’s the case visit your dentist and they can help you. But in general replacing your toothpastes will be enough to stop the pain.
