How to Care for Combination SkinCombination skin isn’t as difficult to take care of as you may think. If you want to care for this skin type, all you have to do is adopt a regimen that you can stick to on a daily basis.

The best part is that this will only take a few minutes, which most people easily have time for. The result will be amazing looking skin, so why not try it out?

1. Wash Your Face Every Morning

Washing your face in the morning is extremely important because it gets rid of bacteria and dirt that absorbed into your pores over the night. Things like oils, dirt and bacteria are present in your hands, your bed sheets and even your pillow. If you don’t wash your face in the morning you will just be putting makeup over dirt skin, which can cause zits and breakouts.

Use a cleanser that doesn’t have soap in it and that is made for the face. You can easily find products that are specifically designed for combination skin if you just browse through your local drug store. Natural products are generally the best, but as long as it’s made for your skin type you should be fine.

2. Use the Right Moisturizer

Not all moisturizers are the same, especially when it comes to your skin. You should be using something that is lightweight and made for combination skin types. This formula will soothe your dry skin areas and help your oily skin areas stay balanced. Apply this before you go to bed and you should wake up with skin that is soft and supple. You should also apply this moisturizer after you clean your face in the morning.

3. Exfoliate to Reduce Dead Skin

Use an exfoliating facial wash twice per week in order to get rid of dead skin that may be hanging around on the surface of your face. You will notice that after you do this your skin is a whole lot softer and it looks better as well. Just make sure not to scrub too hard so you don’t end up damaging your skin.

4. Pamper Your Skin

Once a week you should pamper your skin to make sure that it is well taken care of. You can do this by first applying a facial mask along with sliced cucumbers or potatoes on your eyes. Sit and relax while this cleanses your skin and provides it with nourishing vitamins. There are tons of different masks you can buy and a lot of recipes you can make as well. There’s no reason to spend money at a spa, unless you’d like a professional to do this for you!

Tips:

– Invest in good skin care products that are natural and found to be effective for combination skin. You can read reviews online to determine which products are best so you don’t waste your money trying out a bunch of different options.

– Set aside a few minutes in the morning and at night to perform your skin care regimen. For example, doing this when you brush your teeth will ensure you don’t forget or don’t avoid getting up to do it.
