romantic nightA surprise romantic trip away is a great present for your partner. Whether you are celebrating your anniversary, a birthday or you just want to treat them you can’t go for wrong with a romantic getaway.

It’s all about planning! Plan the trip ahead and organise every tiny detail to make sure everything runs smoothly. Here is a guide to planning the ultimate romantic trip-

Choosing The Location

The location of your trip away is probably one of the most important elements. A great place to start is to think of significant places to you as a couple. Is there anywhere you stayed when you first got together? Or is there somewhere you have both always wanted to visit?

You will also need to consider what it is you will be doing on this trip away. If you are planning a romantic day of room service and pampering in the hotel room then you could be anywhere in the world and it wouldn’t really matter. If you are planning on taking your loved one out for the day you will need to plan your location around this.

The Hotel

Getting the hotel right is also really important. A great way to spend your romantic night away is to choose a hotel that will allow you to really spoil your partner. A hotel with a luxurious restaurant too is a great choice. When you book your room book a table too.

If you are planning on having a relaxing evening/day spent in the hotel choose one with a spa or that are happy to have therapists give you treatments in your room. You can check all these details when you book with the receptionist. One of the most memorable trips away I have had was at a hotel in Cheltenham and this was primarily because I checked absolutely everything before I booked.

The Details

Planning all the details ahead will take your trip from ordinary to outstanding. You may be surprised to know that the hotel you are staying at will be more than happy to help you out. Get on the phone to them and help you organise lots of surprises for the trip.

A great idea is to get your hotel to organise flowers and champagne to be in your room when you arrive. If you are eating in the hotel resultant then get the hotel to order in a bottle of your partner’s favourite tipple to be on the table when you arrive for your meal. Organising the details ahead means you will know everything is prepared and you’re set to have the perfect night away.
