Date Ideas For NYC

These date ideas are for current New Yorkers or those who plan on visiting The Big Apple.

1) Rowboat, Gondola, Bike Rentals in Central Park.

For $12-30, this is a pretty good deal for a romantic date with your sweetie.  Not to mention  you can also have a picnic in other parts of the park as well.

2) Sammy’s Fish Box

This hidden gem in City Island is in the northern most borough of NYC.  It might seem like a trek and an average dinner for two can range from $70-110 (not your cheapest date).  However, I promise you that once you sink your teeth into their tasty lobster, you will agree that it is worth every penny.

3) Wicked, the Broadway musical.

If you like the Wizard of Oz story, you will love this show.

Prices start at $72

4) Museum of Sex

Don’t bring the kids to this one.  This is not your typical museum.  This museum was started  for “the history, evolution and cultural significance of human sexuality.”  This outing is probably not a good idea for a first date, but could be an unique date with a boyfriend/girlfriend.

Tickets: $17.50,81.html

5) Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden

Located in the heart of Queens, this would be a good place for a summer date. There are lots of outdoor seating, an open grill, traditional Czech dishes, and lots of international beer for you to try.

6) Urbana Poetry Slam at Bowery Poetry Club

Tuesdays 7pm $7

7) The View Restaurant

This restaurant offers you a panoramic, 360 degree view of Times Square.  It takes about 1 hour for a full rotation.  The menu can be pricey, but they offer a prixe fixe option.
